Frequently Asked Questions

WHO CAN I HELP?

I work with adults and adolescents (younger on a case-to-case basis), families, and relationships (friendships, siblings, couples, non-monogamous, poly…).

While my specialty is OCD and Anxiety I have experience and training supporting clients with parenting, phase of life transitions, insomnia, anxiety, depression, sex and intimacy, relationships and beyond.

WHAT IS MY APPROACH?

I approach my practice with warmth and humor, and I can’t help but bring my full self into session. My clients should be prepared to laugh, cry, and work it out in session.

My primary approach is a blend of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Psychodynamic Therapy to help balance between empowering my clients with clinical knowledge of their diagnosis, and getting our hands dirty with real world application of these concepts. I use ERP, CBT-I, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy through an LGBT Affirmative, Humanistic Lens.

WHAT ARE MY VALUES AND STYLE?

Everybody deserves therapy, and while therapy is not the only path to recovery, I am passionate about making psychotherapy accessible to those who have historically been marginalized by this trade specifically people of color (more than half the population of California), LGBTQIA+ individuals (especially Transgender and gender non-conforming individuals). For this reason I do my best to maintain relationships with insurance companies to reduce the out of pocket cost of my services. My values are rooted in social justice and the importance of diverse representation.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE? WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

Yes I take insurance and provide a superbill for out-of-network clients. Please see my Headway page for most up to date insurance information and rates. You can view my current out of pocket rate on Psychology Today.

DO YOU DO TELEHEALTH/MEET IN PERSON?

Currently all appointments are conducted via a secure telehealth platform. Please reach out if you’re interested in meeting at a physical office (coming soon to Hancock Park, Los Angeles).
